Nate was born in Indiana, raised in Indonesia as a missionary kid, and graduated from high school in Wheaton, IL. Nate believed the gospel at the age of six. He attended Lancaster Bible College earning a B.S. in Bible and Missions, and Moody Theological Seminary earning a M.Div. He worked as a part-time assistant pastor at First Baptist Church of Wheaton before becoming a full-time associate pastor at Cumberland Baptist Church in Mt. Prospect, IL. In 2007 he moved back to Lancaster, PA and planted Harvest Lancaster’s (then NewSong Fellowship Church) second church-plant named Oak Hill Fellowship Church.
