We all carry shame, and we all relate to people differently. Sometimes our differences draw us together; other times, they expose our fears, assumptions, frustrations, and even contempt. What if the gospel doesn’t simply teach us to tolerate our differences, but gives us a new way to see ourselves and one another?
In this Parakaleo Gospel Tools Intensive, we’ll explore what shame is, how the gospel gives us a new identity, and how Jesus transforms contempt into compassion and empathy. Together, we’ll consider the joys and challenges of relating across differences—and how Christ stands between us as we grow together in grace, humility, and love.

Parakaleo, derived from the Greek word meaning ‘coming alongside,’ emphasises creating a safe space for women to experience genuine community centred on the gospel.

who is this intensive for?

what is this training about?
We refer to this training as an “Intensive.” During this event, you will dedicate a few short but intense hours to learning visual tools (take a sneak peek to see how they look) that help women in internalising the gospel, Christian doctrines, and navigating ministry challenges.

What is our calling in life? How can we discover God’s calling for us? As women, we often find ourselves wearing different hats. How can we faithfully live out these roles in everyday life?
community
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12
Building community is challenging, often messy and complicated as we journey together in the church. Yet, the church as a covenant community is God’s gift to believers. How can we cultivate community in the “already and not yet” of our journey?
idolatry
“For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13
What is an idol? Is it a physical object or a belief? Is idolatry a prevalent issue for most of us in this age? How can we uproot the deep-seated idols within our hearts?
