Speaker Bios

John Piper 

Founder & teacher of desiringGod and chancellor of Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis. For 33 years, he served as pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He is the author of more than fifty books, and more than thirty years of his preaching and writing are available free of charge at desiringGod.org. John and his wife, Noël, have five children and 14 grandchildren.

Our speaker serves as a Senior Strategic Advisor with City to City. He began his journey with the organization as a volunteer catalyst and has since then played multiple full time roles including senior director for Global Strategy and Vice President for Leadership Development. He is passionate about seeing the gospel renew lives, multiply disciples, plant churches & impact the great cities of the world. It is his deep pleasure to empower local leaders to accelerate movement dynamics in their cities. Due to security concerns for his travel and the safety of his partners, we are withholding his name.

Guna Raman

Guna Raman is the CEO of City to City Asia Pacific. He planted and pastored Agape Baptist Church in Singapore for 29 years before transiting to CTCAP in September 2018. He is married to Christina and they have two married children. He and his wife live in Singapore.

Wong Fong Yang

Rev. Wong serves as a board member for Gospel City Network. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering and holds a Master of Divinity from Singapore Bible College as well as a Master of Theology from Trinity Theological College, Singapore. He was the senior pastor of Gereja Grace Batu Pahat for 13 years before he planted CDPC Subang. Married to Constance, they have two children – Sarah and Samuel. After serving as the senior pastor for CDPC, Rev. Wong is in now transition to pass the baton onto the next generation of church leaders.

Clarance Shashi

Clarance, is a church planter and the Senior Pastor of Destiny C3 Church. Together with his wife Deborah, he stepped out to plant C3 Church Subang 10 years ago. Under their leadership, within 10 years, C3 Church Subang, now known as Destiny C3 Church, has grown into a group of 7 churches, 4 in Malaysia, 2 India, and another in Catarman, Philipines. Pastor Clarance and Debbie are the proud parents of 4 boys, Ethan, Joshua, Judah and Noah.

Jackson Crum

Jackson and his wife, Donna, have lived in the city of Chicago since 2004 where he served as the lead Pastor of Park Community Church. Jackson just recently resigned his role of lead pastor to become part of Park’s Global team. Donna and Jackson now live overseas where they serve as the care team for Park’s global partners. He also serves as Global Chaplin for Resource Global providing support and care for international staff.

Samuel Nesan

Samuel is a co-founder of Explain Apologetics and an Elder at CityLight Malaysia. Explain Apologetics is a ministry dedicated to defense of the Christian faith. He completed his Masters in Christian Studies at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia while serving as Associate Pastor at Pantai Baptist Church. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Apologetics at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Texas. Apart from ministry related interests, Samuel also enjoys Badminton and was a match commentator for Astro having coached professional shuttlers both locally and abroad.
