UNPACKING THE HEART AT WORK

Why does work often feel like an endless treadmill of performance and pressure? Most of us spend our professional lives trying to prove our worth, only to find ourselves exhausted, anxious, or feeling like a fraud.

At this session, we will explore the concept of ‘Heart Idols’—good things like career success, peer approval, comfort, or control that we turn into ‘ultimate things’. By identifying which of these four roots—Power, Approval, Comfort, or Control—drives our reactions to stress, we can learn to ‘crowd out’ these idols and anchor our identity in the finished work of Christ.

Join us as we move from a life of pretence to one of genuine rest, shifting from ‘working for an identity’ to ‘working from an identity’ already secured by grace.
