In the busyness of ministry, we can often forget the gospel for our own heart. Parakaleo Malaysia is a ministry that comes alongside women in church leadership and church planting. Our goal is to equip woman with practical theology for everyday life and ministry. We create a safe space for women to experience genuine community centred on the gospel.

In partnership with Gospel City Network, Parakaleo Malaysia supports ministry-minded women through in person seminars, intensives, and virtual groups. We use practical, visual tools to make gospel theology easily accessible in moments of crisis and ministry challenges. These experiences equip women to speak the Gospel to their own hearts, and to come alongside other women.

Trainings and Events offered by Parakaleo Malaysia

 

Small Groups

• Christian ministry is often difficult and lonely work because of the boundary ambiguity within leadership. We assume that everyone is struggling with something and someone. Small groups provides a safe, confidential space to process and practise gospel truths for your own heart, alongside women who are outside of your shepherding circle.

• Small groups are intentionally small — up to 6 participants plus 1 or 2 leaders. Each season of small groups consists of nine online sessions over 9-10 months. We understand that you may be juggling a busy schedule, so we meet only once a month for a 2-hour session.

• If you’re longing for gospel rest and refreshment outside of your work in church and ministry and would like to connect with other women through gospel conversations, we invite you to join a small group.

• Cost: RM 90 per season

Taste of Parakaleo

• Taste of Parakaleo offers taster sessions for you to experience our tools, training, and the ministry itself.

• These sessions are offered once or twice a year. Stay connected to receive notifications about them.

 

Gospel Tools Intensive

• At a Gospel Tools Intensive, you will dedicate a few short but intense hours to learning gospel tools that help you internalise the gospel, and navigate ministry challenges.

• These longer sessions are an excellent way for you to immerse yourself in the materials and fellowship with other women in ministry within the city.

• There are no prerequisites for this Intensive, and all are welcome. Participants of virtual small groups are also encouraged to join the Intensive for a refresher session.

 

BASIC Intensive

• Church leadership and ministry can be tough! So how do we women build gospel resilience as shepherds? All Parakaleo training builds off BASIC as a foundational course that helps us take the truth of the gospel to our own hearts. We use practical, visual tools to make gospel theology easily accessible in moments of crisis and ministry challenges.

• The BASIC Intensive is held once a year, along the GCN Mini Intensive.
