About this Video Series

The atonement is a central part of Christian belief and is essential for following Jesus. Jeremy Treat explains how the death of Christ is a multi-dimensional work that includes forgiveness, victory, and renewal in the book The Atonement: An Introduction.

However, at its core, the cross is about substitution, with Jesus dying on behalf of sinners to reconcile them to God and each other.

He presents a comprehensive approach to the doctrine of atonement, emphasising its kingdom-framed, Trinitarian, communal, and life-changing aspects in the book.

This video series draws together the theme of the kingdom and the cross, highlighting the importance of appreciating the multi-dimensional accomplishments of the cross. See how recognising Scripture as one narrative that culminates in Christ the King can help believers consider how to live faithfully in the already and not yet of God’s kingdom.
