The gospel is the source of real transformation, with the church at the heart of renewing lives and communities. By equipping church planters and mission-minded leaders, we foster healthy, gospel-centred churches that shape our cities.
Key 6-Month Highlights:
- Heart Matters Conference: Our annual conference gathered nearly 450 attendees through daytime leader sessions and open evening sessions, calling pastors and churches to heart-centred preaching, discipleship, and evangelism.
- Mini Intensive Pt.2: A 3-day intensive on Gospel-Shaped Ministry Design trained 53 leaders in church planting strategies and practical frameworks for discipleship, worship, and evangelism.
- Mandarin Gospel DNA: The first Mandarin Gospel DNA in East Malaysia served 23 leaders in Kuching with foundational, heart-focused gospel truths.
- Parakaleo: Training initiatives equipped 60 women in ministry with practical gospel tools through seminars, intensives, and small groups.
- A Praying Life Seminar: A seminar on prayer helped 96 participants cultivate honest, focused, and life-shaping habits of personal prayer.
- Incubator: A 10-session weekly incubator on gospel renewal trained 14 seminary students in ministry design, sparking fresh vision for emerging leadership.
- Bahasa Malaysia (BM) Initiatives: A launch group of seven potential BM trainers was formed to pioneer contextualised ministry frameworks and develop modular church planting and church revitalisation trainings.
- ReVision Workshop: A ReVision workshop guided 15 leaders in clarifying their church’s mission and setting actionable priorities across short-, mid-, long-term horizons.
City Engagement
We seek the renewal of our city by helping believers live out the gospel in their everyday work and public life. In a city like Kuala Lumpur—one of the most overworked in the world—this focus is especially urgent.
Key 6-Month Highlights:
- Gospel at Work Cohorts: Two 8-session Gospel at Work cohorts equipped 10 leaders to integrate faith and vocation, addressing the real tensions of everyday work life.
- Connecting Church and Work Life: A Faith and Work seminar introduced 67 participants to practical tools for bridging Sunday teaching with daily work, addressing the divide between the sacred and secular.
- Faith and Work Dialogue: A Faith and Work Dialogue brought together 40 pastors and members for honest conversation about workplace realities, deepening shared understanding of how the church can better support its people.
Collaboration of Leaders
By training leaders and fostering interdenominational networks, we create spaces for local churches to collaborate and share resources while respecting their unique identities. These unified relationships strengthen congregations and enable a gospel-centered response that brings transformation to the city.
Key 6-Month Highlights:
- Praxis: In the past six months, Praxis provided pastors and leaders with a reflective space to apply the gospel to cultural and ministry challenges. Together, pastors explored reconciliation beyond church walls and addressed barriers to evangelism, developing clear and credible ways to disciple their members and engage their communities.
Resourcing
Through Greenhouse, we equip the church and city by producing quality gospel-centered resources and supporting local authors in partnership with international publishers. These Greenhouse initiatives provide Malaysia and neighboring countries with the trusted theological content necessary to strengthen regional ministry and learning.
Key 6-Month Highlights:
- Translation Project: Expanded the Bahasa Malaysia (BM) resource library by translating 36 BM articles and publishing 2 new titles.
- Editorial Growth & Partnerships: Strengthened publishing infrastructure through 2 new partnerships, refined editorial processes, and expanded reach into six new international markets.
- Publishing Milestone: Published Called to Go: True Stories of Faith and Hope from Asia, producing gospel-centered content for young readers.
- Event & Engagement: Facilitated 22 pop-up bookstores with interactive activities, engaging readers and promoting access to gospel resources.
